April 2026

Friendly and comradely greetings,

We are pleased to share the latest edition of the Bench Marks Foundation Bulletin (Issue 39 / April 2026), titled “Building Capacity, Advancing Justice in Times of Crisis.” This edition reflects on the growing pressures facing communities, including rising fuel costs and ongoing economic challenges, while highlighting our continued work in strengthening community agency, political education, and evidence-based advocacy.

Inside this issue, you will find insights on the impact of rising petrol prices on working-class communities, reflections from the CMS Train-the-Trainers workshop marking 17 years of community monitoring, community voices on land, resistance, and the right to say no, as well as updates on safeguarding training and ongoing local community engagements.

We encourage you to read, engage, and share widely.

In solidarity,
Bench Marks Foundation
